feedback fromn amp

hey, ijust got a new cd player installed, and new rear speakers because 1 was shot, dont know what circuitcity did, there is loud clicking noise coming over my speakers and makes a weird noise when i give the car gas, never did this before, they said its because my powercord to my amp is running along my rca wires, and that my new cd player is stronger, so i moved to powercord to the other side no where near the rca wires and it still does the same thing? what do u think is wrong?

Step 1.
Unplug the RCAs, see if the sound is still there.

Step 2.
Take a piece of wire, strip the end and screw it on to the ground post of the amp.
Strip the other end of the wire about 3 inches, wrap the bare wire around both the RCA plugs and plug the RCAs in over them.

Step 3.
Check the ground. The paint should be scraped off where the ground connects to the body, and it should be tight and secure.

Step 4.

Step five: If all else fails, move your RCAs, reground in a closer location, and run the ground on your radio wiring harness directly to the negative post on your battery. It's amazing how much we worry about the power cables to our power amps when in theory our head units are amps themselves =P

There's a thin line to be crossed, when the upgrades to your vehicle increase your chance to get tickets by an amount exponential enough to stop worrying and build the fastest, loudest car you can.
