Anyone have any experience with this?
I wanna hook up my Starmate 4 to my Stock 98 z radio
This is my DD and i just wanna have Sirius in there without static
I love my setup in my 2000 z but didn't wanna drop the money to have it so i went with this route
Wondering if anyone has used this?

Looks like it would work well as it cuts all other incoming radio when Sirius is on
Also
Did you guys wire these things in somehow cause having that Cig Lighter plug in right by my key is driving me nuts but i noticed they run at 5 V now any thoughts?
Thanks

the shop I worked at we would always install one because the newer units never worked with out. They work awesome, you'll just need 2 antenna adaptors that you can get at any stereo shop.
for the power what we did was sell a cigarette plug and would just tie it inline with the factory plug behind the dash and run the wires back there and plug the unit in that.
Why do you need 2 antenna adaptors?
assuming you're running a factory radio. you need one that goes from factory plug, to aftermarket plug. and then one that goes from aftermarket plug to factory plug.
you need two antenna adapters,Male and female. Yyou can wire the cig plug for power....DO NOT cut it off. The little nipple is 12 volts and the side hooks are ground. I do it all the time with some wire and tape just wrap the wires really good and make it tight!
Got everything installed today
Just wanna deal with cig lighter better, i noticed the XM kit comes with a reloacator for the cig lighter that you just supply power to
Id like something like that
No more static through the FM
