can someone give me the steps to adding a 2nd battery in the trunk that the amp for the subs will use? i dont want to start my car on fire or something of that matter. Thanks
its not whats under the hood, its how you use it
2200 soon to be turbo
I'm just curious how you keep the second battery charged. I figure you probably have to run wires and whatnot from the front, but I'm just not sure.
run a 0 gauge wire with fuse from your stock battery to the trunk and connect it to the positive on the new battery. conncet the amps to the positive. ground amps and battery to bare metal on body. done!
probably should upgrade the alternator so it can handle charging both batteries tho
"I did it because I wanted to see what it would look like. You should be greatful that I even told you that it would look good. If your to dumb to use photoshop and change the color of your own car then you don't need to see it changed. I'm not going to give my work away. I'll sell the pic to you though for $15."-Adam Kalin

so wont that make it a 24 volt system instead of 12? i thought that you needed a relay or something.

no, the batterys would be wired parallel to each other so it would only be 12 volt. if they were wired in series it would be 24 volt
