Hello again, does anyone know why my speed gauge may be all out of wack? I was driving and it just kept going all the way to 100 mph! So now its just there sittin at 100 does anyone have an idea what may be causing it? I got one guy of course from the dealership saying it was gonna cost 500 bucks because its the transmission. then another mechanic telling me he could do it for 50 cause its only electric. Who do i believe?!?!!? thanks

sounds like a bad throttle position sensor. Yea they cost right around 50 bucks and take about 20 seconds to install. Go with the mechanic.

most likly case is that is a bad vehicle speed sensor is your car a auto or stick?

could be a bad cluster too guys....thats what mine did when my cluster went haywire...

Just replaced the cluster in my girlfriends moms sunfire because it was constantly reading 110, now it works fine.
