So i was leaving my buddies house tonight and on my way home the bracket for my PCM came unscrewed and my PCM fell out hit the ground while i was driving and some of the wires got ripped out!!! Never the less..... I need to know if its an easy fix like just buy a new PCM or is it going to have to go to a dealer? I have a 2200 1999 cavalier. thanks for any help

someone else had your problem .. recently .. . i think it was name ... blown brains or such ... search brains ..

Isn't there supposed to be a plastic fender liner that prevents this from happening??

Anyway.. I digress.. unless the PCM is smashed, it's probably fine. It gets jarred around a lot already.... but the wiring, that you'll need to repair. If the connectors are damaged, then head to a wrecker or buy a set from someone on here (I have a few sets laying around... if you were close, you could HAVE them!). If it's just the wiring that's fooked, then start soldering in some new wires...
