Ok, I just bought an MTX RT202 amplifier. I threw it in the car last night, I have a + going to the battery like your supposed to, and a ground in the trunk, and just to test, I ran the remote off of the + going to the amplifier. RCAs connected to the imput on the amp, the amp will power on, but there is no sound... anyone know what this could be? It has a "speaker input level" thing that I dont have anything on, but would that have anything to do with it? It also has an output for RCAs as well, but they dont have the have an out do they? I have tested all my other amps the way im testing this one, and cant figure out whats wrong. Any help would be greatly appriciated. Thanks.

I know when i first got that amp i thought it was on all the time cuz the little red light is on but it comes on with the remote power. not with battery power. check your fuses and ground. maybe check to make sure you HU doesnt have the sub set as off. the speaker level thing is a high level input. unless your daisy chaining your amps you wont need the outputs. hope i helped

Wow... simple fix, it had a 30 amp fuse in it and its supposed to have a 20.. didnt think that would make a difference, but I guess it did, its working fine now... I think they under rated the power output though, it makes subs rated higher than amp output hit.. Thanks.

that amp is surprisingly underrated but works great, i currently use it in my contour for the front speakers

Survey says that the amp isn't underrated. You're probably doing a little less than rms actually.
