Fat Mat....wow!

Just got done installing fat mat doubled up in the trunk, deck and doors and all I can say is wow! With the stock speakers the bass response is so incredible now it's hard to believe! Also, I have noticed that the exhaust note and resonating through the speakers was cut down tremendously!

Get it!

I actually got mine off ebay, if I remember right it was $130 shipped for 100 sq ft. which is just about enough to do the entire car.

I need to do mine. I had some of the stuff they put in Mercedes Benz's. Looks just like Dynamat, but without the brand stamps.

Dynamat is butyl, fatmat and most others are asphalt. BIG difference.

Butyl is better. It holds up to temperatures much better, and doesn't stink like asphalt ones do. If you want to save a ton of money, goto home depot or lowes and get peel and seal. Same exact thing.

The smell was actually hardly noticeable after I installed it, and after about a week it was completely gone. I tell ya what though, putting this stuff into the car is a real PITA, lol. Definitely have a hair dryer or heat gun handy to make it as limber and flexible as possible.
