okay i got my woofers and amp today and im having trouble finding an opening in the firewall to run my power through. anyone know how to do this?
theres a big grey grommet under the stearing wheel....poke a hole in it and fish it thru
k got it all hooked up and my subs and amp dont turn on what could be the problem?
also i dont know what the heck a remote on is so could that be the problem?
Yes, the remote turn on needs to be hooked up it is what tells the amp to turn on. If you have an aftermarket cd player it will have a blue wire coming out of it that is labeled remote.
i dont have a remote wire coming out though its just antena or dimmer hooked it up to antenna as thats what instructions labeled as remote/antenna and it still does not power on
you sure? what model cd player? it should have a blue wire which would be the remote.
if not, you can hook it to anything that has power only when the key is in the on position....like say the wiper fuse for example
or first try using the antenna wire.
okay nevermind i hooked it up to the remote wire wich wasnt labled on the wire so
anyways instant bass! not loud but really deep bass from this cheap kit i got lol probably get a new amp becuase i think they are underpowerd
okay got my new setup and i think the remote circuit on HU is shot wear else can i run that wire?
use any power source that comes on when you turn your key to on or acc posistion
there should be an empty spot in your fuse block, or your head unit should have 2 power wires, 1 all time 12V & 1 switched 12V, connect it with the switched 12v lead there

use your ignition from your fuse box and you're done...case closed.
study up on how to do stuff first before you go out and buy a system...
otherwise have someone install it if you're asking these simple of ?'s

i prefer the custom make it yourself way but he is only 20 & will wanna just buy & install an already prefabbed setup... i can see it already

its an awsome kit its the magnum bass kit. its 142.99 then buy a wiring kit and rca cables and your good to go. dont follow the instructions as they tell you how to tune amp, just tune amp yourself and its alot louder!

yeah tuning the amp is actually easy....
set radio controls where ya like them.....turn gain & bass boost controls all the way down on amp... set volume to 3/4 on hu
turn up gain on amp till sub starts to sound a little distorted & then back off a hair....
there is another way too with a voltmeter & no sub connected, but my volt meter was dead so i did it the tune by ear thing with volume set at 3/4
love the way my system bumps

circuit city, check to make sure its in stock becuase they stopped stocking them so its like whatever they have and thats it. i got the last one at the store
well not by ear, but thats what i call it....
i think i did good with mine considering i did it with the volume at 3/4 & slowly turn up the gain on amp method with sub connected since i didn't have the meter to tune my amp to the right response freq of 28.28 or something like that is what it said mine should put out max to my speaker...
2pac, chamillionaire, godsmack, infected mushroom, & everything else i listen to on the radio sound great in my car

ahhh so what give the guy a break he listen to the radio.....lol
yeah I have a 20 yr old... i have 6 kids & 5 grandkids
& yeah i love me some snoop or 2pac, or chamillionaire...ludacris too
most of the time if i listen to the radio i listen to classic rock with some rap & country thrown in...
alot of afternoons i just listen to a cd, alot of times it'll be 2 pac or chamillionaire, or ozzy or white zombie/rob zombie... or GodSmack, or ludacris, red hot chilli peppers, sublime, & swing music like the cherry poppin dady's or royal crown revue.... i make a lot of mix cd's with everything on it cause mp3's on cd play forever since you can get so many on there & i drive 1.5 to 2 hours to work & the same time frame back home.
now as to what is infected mushroom...
they are what most folx call techno....
techinically they are more of a Psy-trance music group...go look em up... they are really good...
<--- has a diverse taste in music, most times i am just jammin to my classic rock that I grew up with (hazard of being 45) , but sometimes you'll catch me with something off the wall in my player
