I have 2 kicker L7's DVC 2..they are 12 inches...i want to wire a kicker zx1500 amp to them and give them 750 watts a piece..to do that im pretty sure i have to wire them at 1 ohm... i heard that this is very dangerous and that they should be wired at 2 ohm..im very confused and dont know if i should get a different amp or wire them at 1 ohm...do i need a low gauge wire and cap??? because i wasn't planning on getting a cap at all. But i dont wanna buy another alternator either. HELP PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!

This should answer your question on how to wire.

And you should be good with just the Big 3.

That amp is not made to go down to 1 ohm. It puts out full power at 2 ohm which would be perfect for your subs. wire them like this

you cant even wire them at 1 ohm. you can wire them at .5 ohm, 2 ohm or 8 ohm. but 1 ohm is impossible unless your giving ech sub its own channel. wire them at 2 ohm and do the big three. youll be fine

"I did it because I wanted to see what it would look like. You should be greatful that I even told you that it would look good. If your to dumb to use photoshop and change the color of your own car then you don't need to see it changed. I'm not going to give my work away. I'll sell the pic to you though for $15."-Adam Kalin

I have my 2 12" CVRs hooked up to a ZX1000 Kicker amp with a kinetix hc800 battery plus the stock battery and they hit mid to high 140s on the dB chart. If you got somethin similar but with a 1500 instead of a 1000 your system should pound

I just laughed so hard I fell off my dinosaur. One, there's no way you'd be hitting that, and two, this picture.

All depends on where the mic was, if the car was sealed up or not, type of mic, etc. I dont think he it that far off. I did a 142.0 sealed up at 41hz on the termlab when i opened my drivers window and played some music i got up to 144.6 on the TL. now if i moved the mic down to the kick it would have went up even more. or if it was an audiocontrol mic those usally read 2-4 db higher.

My setup was 2 alpine type-r 12's off a 1100 watt amp (shall remain nameless, its a company with poor customer service) in a big ported box. 4 cuft net

I mean I guess u dont have to believe me, if you would really like I can get my buddy to let me use his dB reader equipment again. Im pretty sure it has to be accurate because not only was it 800 dollars for my buddy to buy but its the same equipment all the audio shops around me use for their SPLs. The only reason he has it is because he competes in USACI (actually placed 3rd in 2005). I dont understand why people have to discriminate, maybe it makes them feel good about their @!#$ hole they call a life.
