Hey guys, I'm looking to pick up an optima yellow top battery for my 2005 Cav and I was wondering which model you guys would recommend for a high demand audio system. I've looked into the one that has 750 cold cranking amps. Am I on the right track? Where do you find is the best place to get them?
I am going to watch this post cause i need to buy a new battery for my explorer... the dealership said it was only putting 450ish outta 650 cranking amps off the stock battery.. I am going to go thru my brother in law for an optima since his company makes them and he can get a decent discount lol
Well I looked around and Walmart, Part Source, and most of the local shops here don't carry Yellow Tops. I'm going to Performance Improvements to pick one up tomorrow 244 bucks but its 750 cold cranking amps so thats good.
I'm running the red top on mine and it's perfect for me and I only paid 110 for it, I think that 244 bucks is a little steep for the yellow...Here I believe it's only 180-190 bucks.
For $244 bucks should just buy a Kinetik battery.

Well I ended up buying the Yellow Top. Ya it's a bit more pricy here then other people have paid but there arent any shops that I know of that sell them. I called all of our local Walmarts and all they carry are the Marine batteries and the Red Tops. But nevertheless, everything ended up fitting and I love my new battery. Thanks guys
