Hey guys,
I am wanting to move my ECM on my 04 2.2 eco. I did a search for ECM and I read how to move it, but where do I move it to? Did anyone do this, and if so do you have any photos or ideas for me so that I can see what I need to do.
Any and all help is appreciated.
Thanks,
Steve
move it as far as teh wires will allow. only advice i can give you. i wouldnt recomend extending the wires just to move it. not worth the effort

My car may run 18s, but I can do your taxes in 10 seconds flat.
JBO lube - they would never have enough in stock and we'd never see RodimusPrime again
are those still in the front right fender by the evap can on the 04? cause now that you mention it i wanna move mine to by the battery. it seems like they ran all the wires along the bottom of the radiator support just to have it in the fender...j/w cuz if i did it i'd take some pics and post them up for you and/or everyone. i'm pretty sure the only wires i'd have to extend are the evap canister wires, so it can't be too hard.

I am looking to move mine into the interior of the car and to get it out of the engine bay so that I can add my bar. I was just looking for someone that had done this with photos so I can get a visual on where it may end up inside the car.
I am out to sea right now with the Navy, so I cant view pictures on here. I will check out any photos when i get home in a few days.;
Thanks in advance for any help that will be given.

just to add to this. in the interior in front of the center console under your dash there is that plastic cover, take it off and you will find a little plastic shelf that the ecm fits on. pull the ecm off its plastic tray and it will fit perfectly. run the cable thru the big gray grommet, behind the pedals and up into this area plug it in to the ecm use a couple zip ties to hold it down and your done. take about an hour to do and helps clean up the engine bay allot.
lllt4k3n once the eco came out they moved it up by the passenger side strut.

I am heading out to the garage to start the move, I will update with photos when I am done.
