Fried amp?...
Tuesday, January 29, 2008 7:57 AM
ok i searched and found a few topics that were close to my problem... but non exactly what is happening to me...

ok when i turn my deck on the amp powers up for all of a second then goes right to protection mode... its a lanzar mxa232...

its not the speaker wires or in the box because it will do the same thing without them hooked up to the amp at all...

its not the remote wire because i ran a wire straight from the fuse back and it didnt change anything...

its not my ground because ive tried 2 other grounds... and nothing...

so what do you guys think?... is the amp fried?... i dont know what else it could be... i think its weird that it powers up for a second... then goes to protect...

any ideas would be great... thanks...

oh and if you find a thread like this please link me to it...

well it could be that your power wire isnt thick enough, your ground might be a little on the weak end too. jus my $.02

cant be a fuse, it wouldnt power up at all if a fuse was blown
