What exactly are these all about? They even claim to increase performance?
Get yourself like 10 feet of 4 gauge wire, a few crimp on ends, and make your own.
i work in an audio shop and have been doing it for about 6 years and i can honestly tell you that unless your car was not grounded from the factory those kits are a waste of money. They serve no purpose as far as voltage goes UNLESS you are experiencing light flickering when any kind of light is turned on or you press the brake pedal. then you still probably have issues elsewhere.

I have to agree. All I have is a 9.1 powering two 13Ov.2's and doing the big three upgrade didn't impove the dimming situation by very much. I've tried a few different grounding points and different gauge wiring. In my opinion, the big 3 isn't as great as they claim it is.

what was the measured voltage before and after you upgraded those three wires?

I didn't even check. I saw the sticky at the top of the page and it said it reduced dimming and voltage drops. So I tried it and didn't see a big difference.
didnt see a big difference . that is the key phrase. im willing to bet it stablized your voltage and didnt drop as bad after. It is not the answer to completely cure dimming.. bu i is the cheapest way to helpit.
try this, run an 1/0 gauge wire from the front of the car under the hood and ground it straight to the chassis front and rear and tell me if u have anymore issues.....

are you talking about grounding botth ends to the chassis? I've never heard that. Can you elaborate on what thats going to do.
its going to allow your chassis to have a solid ground throughout the whole chassis because the way it is now its using @!#$ ass welds to rely on a ground, when u run this cable and ground it it will allow the whole chassis to be grounded alot better because it wont need to use the welds anymore....

i did the ground from front to rear to my j along with the big 3 and it worked wonders.
"I did it because I wanted to see what it would look like. You should be greatful that I even told you that it would look good. If your to dumb to use photoshop and change the color of your own car then you don't need to see it changed. I'm not going to give my work away. I'll sell the pic to you though for $15."-Adam Kalin
