From different websites, vs. what people tell me, I'm hearing the 03+ Sunfires are Double DIN or Din 1/2. My local sound store said they thought a double DIN would NOT fit right in there, I would have to cut, is this true?


Sorry if this is an easy question...I'm running a single din mp3/cd player right now so i guess I never had to check before.

yes, you'll probably have to trim the bezel to fit a true double din unit, but it WILL fit, it's not hard to do.

Awesome, thanks. IMO, Double Din just looks better, ya know? More of a Luxury feel, and some flip outs feel flimsy to the touch.

You must not have used a Kenwood eXcelon flip out huh?

No... but like i said, "some" feel flimsy.

My current Kenwood deck is sweet, i'm sure the quality carries over to that particular model.

it may depend on the unit, im running a double din clarion 7" touchscreen dvd player and it fit like a glow. no cutting needed.
