i got a new HO alt. from Iraggi Altenators and am having some troubles getting to work. the one i recieved has a rectangular 4 wire plug, where as the one i took out has a oval 2 wire plug. I tried to just wire the red and gray wires to the ones from my factory harness, and ground the other 2 wires. they were brown, which i assumed meant ground and the diagram i got from a dealership showed them as grounds. Now the damn thing won't charge. Am i doing something wrong? is it possible to make this alt work or do i need to get one with the correct style plug?

you sure it's the proper one? Did you tell dom that it doesn't fit?
