Need help finding the right amp.

I just bought 2 pioneer premier TS-W3004SPL 12" sub-woofers. They are 4 ohm DVC's ---- 3000W max with 1000W RMS each. What should the RMS and max wattage of my amp be and how many ohms?

pioneer actually makes an exact amp for these subs. i have a pair of the 1500w 10s and they were amazing for 10s. i outbounded 12s (nothing show worthy of course) and i kept up with 15s (once again, not show worth).

You'll want something that does around 2000 watt @ 1 ohm, so get a Lanzar Optidrive 2000d or similar.

what lanman said....about 2000 at 1 ohm...the amp drew posted is good but only for one of the subs you got...if you were to go with that amp you would need 2 of them....or 2000 at 4 ohms which is gonna be hard to find

Wow. They want almost 400 bucks for that pioneer amp, and you can get an opti2000d for around 350ish shipped.

The premier amp is a little costly. Although everything in my car is pioneer I am willing to get another brand for my amp. At least for now. I'm going to look into the Lanzar Optidrive 2000d. Does anyone have any other suggestions...keep in mind I want something that is good quality but doesn't cost an arm or leg.

Anything from the Maxxonics family (Crunch, Hifonics, Autotek) or that Lanzar I mentioned will do you well.
