HVAC Lights won't come on

My HVAC lights are all out. They all went out at the same time. Any ideas ? Fan switch, temp pot, and HVAC switch still work though.

let me know if you figure it out...mine go in and out based on number of potholes i hit..lol...so i suspect loose wire

My car may run 18s, but I can do your taxes in 10 seconds flat.
JBO lube - they would never have enough in stock and we'd never see RodimusPrime again

Went out after I swapped radio out. Suspect ground wire, but can't find one. Have +12V to bulbs.

I had mine go out as well and would not come back on. So after all was said and done I cut the wires and sockets out of my 89 beretta that has replacable bulbs instead of the led bulbs. No problem with it and it's been like this for 5 months now. The wire colors were the same yellow and grey wires as well.

mine went out after a radio swap too i thought it was a wire because the went out at the same time so i switched the bulbs out and it worked like a champ
the thing is there was only one that work for the longest time and the way the displacement is in the hvac i always thought they both worked and now with two new bulbs
its twice as bright so if that helps at all change the bulbs it might work

when i had my Hvac out once, i split the insulation on one of the leads to the bulbs and freyed the wire.... i had a spare rear defrost board that had leads on it, so desoldered it from the spare board and put them on my good board that was in the car... problem solved!

After reviewing questions about radios, I saw that the stock radio communicates with the BCM. (I don't know what that is, but I think they may have meant PCM.) Anyway, could removing the stock radio have caused the HVAC lights to go out due to this lack of communication or maybe even a connection from the radio plug ?

BTW, this issue is on a '96 Pontiac Sunfire SE w/Sunroof...

the BCM and PCM are seperate.

the PCM control the functions of the car such as fuel and sark, the BCM is a body control module and controls things such as door chime.

there are 2 things that rule out it being a problem with your BCM..

1) removing the radio has nothing to do with those lights communicating with the BCM.

and

2) you dont have a BCM.

BCM's are on 00+ model year j-bodies. they also have a smaller PCM since the PCM no longer has to conrol the functions such as the door chime and lighting.

rip your dash apart again, cause im sure you screwed something up.

My 98 Z24 lights don't work either... but I'm convinced it's a power issue... I have to check the terminals by the passenger side airbag under the dash pad... there's a connector there that looked in pretty poor shape when I last saw it.
