Z24 tach signal

Ive been outside for about five hours trying to install this damn tach, but i cant get a tach signal, will someone please tell me what wire and where it is located. I have a 99 2.4l. thanks.

hey man...try this

Tachometer purple/white ac engine harness

The engine harness is found next to the battery, below the radiator hose, just above the transaxle.

got this from directechs.....usually used for remote start but should work....give it a shot if you got an dvom you can test the wire.

Can i tap into the brown wire in the ignition coil?

you need use a dvom to test it....does your tach have double cycle? you might be able to use an uncommon wire off the injector. You might be able to use the coil too. try it give it a shot....btw by uncommon i mean all injectors have two wire and one of em is the same color on all four....dont use that one

dont to that..... do this... you car DOES have a tach signal wire...

tap into Pin 10 of the clear connector @ PCM, white wire.
PCM located @ RF of vehicle

You can also tap into one of the wires going to the ICM plug but I don't remember wich one.
