Would I be able to pull this off? Make a rectangular port "box" out of mdf and use it as the port for a moulded fiberglass enclosure?
I want to go ported and molded, but I'm not sure if this would be the best way to go about it...
i am sure it will work but in the pic the port looks to be a tad long. it will restricted air but most likely to much and will perform like a sealed box.i am surprised your having a problem with the port most of the time when fiber glass is done the the box cubic feet to port length are the problem the problem with fiber glass is getting a accurate box volume because of sage etc... most guys will build a wood box and shape the fiber glass around it because fiber glass costs a but load if money is no option that part is up to you
TOO MANY TURNS FOR THE PORTED AIR
This picture was not supposed to be accurate. My box isn't going to be 2 cubic inches either, this is just the concept.
use some pvc, you can glass it right in to your box.
Would PVC turns not create port noise? I doubt I could pull off one long pipe...
