Gauging Interest *radio gauge mount*

Okay guys i just got done making this for my car (02 cavalier) and i was seeing if anbody would be interested in me making one for there car and what they would want to pay for it. As you can see it holds a aftermarket radio and there is room for 2, 2 1/16 gauges with some modification to the factory radio surround. I ended up painting mine cause i just liked how it looked better painted than polished, but it is made out of a solid piece of 6061-t6 aluminum. If i was to make them you would receive them in a machined finish since i would not have the extra time to paint or polish them. Just to give you guys a idea on my cost to make mine, the aluminum alone was about $40 (1.25x5x9) plus the tooling and time which was about 2-3 hours. I am getting a price on the tooling right now because when i made mine i was able to find a endmill at work. LMK and any feed is wanted. Here is a pic

Its a little bit of both as for the roughness. This one was hurried a little just for the fact that i need to get my car back together and the paint puddled up a bit . Plus alot was trial and error. But now i have all the dimensions and i know how my set up would be so the next one will look a hella lot better.

Like i said i am waiting to see how much the endmills are going to cost me before i could give a more accurate price. I was thinking around $100-125 but that is not deff yet. How does that sound?

you know i didnt even realize the hu stuck out like that. was too focused on the dremel slip in the right hand corner of the dash bezel.

Yeah i had a little slip with the dremel. But if you guys would want it flat that is fine, but the reason i raised mine was because my radio was wider that the opening all the way at the top of the factory surround. If you look at your surround it is not a square opening and you would have to remove material no mater what if you move the radio to the top of the opening. If it was on center of the surround it would almost fit but then there would be no room for the guages.

Exactly, the radio doesn't fit at the top of the opening.

Seems like a lot of work to use your creation there. You going to provide some sort of template to cut away the bezel so the radio fits properly?

Like i said in my original post you will have to modify the surround. I never said you will not have too. I don't have to make them for you guys. I just made one and was seeing if there was any interest in people wanting one themselves, cause that triple pod fills up quickly on the a-pillar and it looks better IMO than having gauges on the top of you dash like some people have done. That and i don't like how the aftermarket cheap plastic ones look so i thought i would make my own.

But anyways i now know how much the tooling and stuff would cost so if someone is interest in me making them one send me a PM and i will give a price
