Thursday, June 28, 2007 6:16 PM
I have two older cvr's 4 ohm in a 1.25cu.ft sealed enclosure and it hit hard. But I know they can do more! But im going to need a ported box. Ive played around with those calc but need to know what size and hx too use. I listen to 99% dirty south. Also im running both on a power acoustic gothic 1600w 2channel amp. Thanks for any input!

here is the one i use at this link

http://www.the12volt.com/caraudio/boxcalcs.asp#por

here is the math that is in my book

2117times the diameter of the port squared
port length = ------------------------------------------------------------ minus (.732 times port diameter)
tuning free squared times box volume

i like round you can find areo ports at www.partexpress.com
as for box size i am clue less because of not knowing what year those subs are

here is the math

-----------------------------------2117times diameter square
port length = ------------------------------------------------------------- minus .732 times diameter of port
---------------------------box freq squared times box volume

one answer over the other then minus the .732 times dia
