huh...???
Your car doesn't have a factory car alarm persay.
They only way I've seen one go off is to lock the doors with the key fob, unlock the doors manually and open the door.

Why...what is yours doing that you dont like??

Ok well the factory VATS system. It does have an alarm.

It keeps going off after parking and locking the car with my starter remote. In my understanding to disable the anti-theft you hit unlock on the factory fob and that should be it. This factory one has been nothing but a pain in the @$$ for the last year.

What would be nice is a complete deactivation which would be nice.

Yep, still don't get what you're saying.
Are you saying you have an aftermarket security/remote start and that it messes with the factory one or ...???

our cars to have vats....its called passlock 2. Plus why are you using two remotes? and the place that installed your R/S should have taken out the "factory" alarm which is really after market anyway....

Ok the aftermarket alarm/starter that I have is a compustar 2WFMR. To disable the vats on our cars all you should need to do is unlock the car with the factory fob and then it should be fine to lock/unlock the car with aftermarket remote. right??? Ive had the system for 3 years and for about a month now every time i leave the car some time after the factory vats system goes off and i am unsure as to why. Could someone give me some insight into this. Would there be the possibility that the passlock is pooched or could it be the brain of the aftermarket starter or alarm? or the other senario would be the factory one is messed up? what would be some possible solutions? if you need any other information i would gladly provide. the alarm has a lifetime warranty so its not going to cost me anything if it needs replacing.

o, ok, now i get what you're saying.
Unfortunately, im not really sure what to tell ya. Maybe a wire came loose and is like connecting with another wire somehow but im really not sure what to tell ya.
Maybe if you had the alarm installed by somebody, take it back and tell um somethin isn't workin right. usually they have install warranties.
