Ok, I purchased Eric Foreman's(Custom J a.k.a Whitecavalier01) HID kit off a lexus is300. I'm tryin to install it on my cav but i seem to keep having problems. The bulb is only a low beam bulb, so I spliced into the stock harness and took the low beam blue wire, and connected it to the power, and the pink(ground) from the stock harness to the black(ground) on the hid.
Every time I try and turn them on, I blow a fuse in my fuse box. Is there something I"m doing wrong?
ALSO, when I hook it up to my high beam power, and turn my brights on, IT WORKS JUST FINE? which is continues to confuse me.
some specs...
The hid’s are HELLA ballasts that lexus uses.
The bulbs that are used are d2r’s or d2s’s
PLEASE HELP
seriously anyone..i need lights by tonight i plan to go to a show tomorrow!!!

why not hook it up to your high beams and leave it at that? do you really use your highbeams?
Either you have it wired up wrong.... or you're overloading the circuit blowing the fuse. Since the fuses are the same rating for low and high beams, I'm going to suspect you have a wire backwards somewhere.
J-cars use a switched ground for the headlights. The positive is always there... so if your HID case is like mine... negative... and touching frame.... then the lights will short to the car frame and stay on all the time.
Check that the blue wire you're using is actually the right one.. I know I've got them backwards before.
^ exactly.
on another note, i noticed you said that lexus uses hella ballasts. unfortunately they dont, they use denso ballasts. i know, because i have them off an IS300.
