hey i just got the viper 791xv installed today and everything works except the the remote start, the guy who installed it says it needs to be programmed so the remote start can work but bestbuy will not tell hm how? do any of you know what to do in this situation?

wtf.. . 1. maybe u only paid for basic alarm install ;, 2. the installation guy didnt install the 555L passlock bypass module {required}. or maybe just like they told you read the manual there is asection right there describes how to program ur remote to alarm

check under your hood, see if they rigged up some sort of pin, if they didnt they probably set it up for rem start, what year is your car because juilio may be right about the "L". im an installer for circuit and we have problems with BB installs periodically.

Dude... it's pretty easy. As long as you have that passlock module, and the purple wire w/ white stripe is attached to a fuel injector wire, you're golden. i have a 791XV installed on my cav, and the remote start works perfect.

If it doesn't have the tach signal learned, it's easy to do. Just read the manual.

On and Jeff, we at BB have to fix CC's installs periodically so CC ain't perfect neither.

sorry for the thread jack

Oh im not bashing all BB but the one across the street from us makes some serious problems i.e. crimps that fall off. while im talkin to you i gotta ask whats the deal with bass blockers?

To tell the truth, I dunno. I have NEVER installed those before, heh. I should play with some and see how it sounds.

we sometimes sell them if somebody has an early 90's or older gm with the 4" or smaller speakers so the bass doenst blow them out or cause any distoration (as you know no matter what u say about settings people always think they can tune it better than you) but the BB across the street puts them on just about everything.
