I did a pretty good search on here, and got alot of info on this, but the main thing I am concerned about wasn't covered. My 2k Cav has no power trunk, just the lever by the door. I looked at the latch, and there seemed to be no way to connect an aftermarket trunk popping solenoid to it. I don't want to get rid of the manual lever by the driver seat, just in case something funky happens (you never know). Has anyone with the manual lever installed an aftermarket trunk popper, and if so, how/where did you mount the thing? Thanks.
....kind of. I have two 6" linear actuators on mine which motorize it up and down. Not quite the same thing.

NEJBODY is a team. We're not the same as JBO where everyone bashes on eachother.
I'm surprised you show up to our meets after half of the things you say on here.
if you find the module for one, they have a spot for the solenoid and keylock, im sure you could either shave the key and hook it there or find another spot to hook it.
My car may run 18s, but I can do your taxes in 10 seconds flat.
JBO lube - they would never have enough in stock and we'd never see RodimusPrime again
Hmm, not sure if that helps me any. I'm not looking to shave the key, and I want to keep the manual release by the door. Has anyone done this?
well ive added an aftermarket trunk kit from DEI to my car and removed the stock lever latch and cable, the kit works fine.....
Why don't you just get one from a junkyard. Grab the latch and the "switch" from the dash. Wire it up and hook it up to ur lock and you should be fine.
I will give you a heads up to take a lock apart at the yard so you can see how it connects.
