all the way up!!!!

No seriously we can't tell you one way or the other on how to set you stereo. Each setup is different and would have to be tuned individually.

Also you have
Quote:

kenwood single voice coil
which isn't going to
Quote:

slam your ears
no matter how hard you tune it. Just not enough power.

Maybe you could provided as much detail as to what you have then you would get more help.

Ratings, Wattage, etc.

well it might not be able to slam, but tuned right you can max out the effieciency of that sub and make it sound pretty damn nice.

i wouldnt turn things up on the eq to make you hear a certain frequency more than another.

the human ear is naturally drawn to peaks, so harsh outputs at a given frequency might hurt your ears. rather than turn up a frequency to hear it more over that harsh one, turn the harsh one down. i know it sounds simple, but its a pretty easy thing to forget.

other than that, get a good song to tune your system to and play it by ear. ive been told that live or acoustic music and music with a woman on vocals is really good music to tune your system to. also, do a little fine tuning to the music you listen to normally. some fine adjustmets might need to be made.

enjoy and dont get too frustrated.

left is bass middle is mid and the right side is trebble. play with it a bit, but usualy i have the bass up then the mid at the middle and slowly move trebble up. like a wave. turn it up loud to see what frequencys paly better than others due to the speaker capability.
