PS2 - Got pics of how you installed/set up?
Friday, May 25, 2007 1:18 PM
Just wired in a PS2 today (finally!!) and it's in the glove box right now...sitting there

Does anyone have pics of their PS2 in the glove box and a brief description of how you set it up? Not the install, just how it was mounted or how you set it in there?

I have a show on Sunday and want to improve the look over a PS2 just sitting in the glove box!

Thanks!

Eh...old man with a Corvette now...it was bound to happen sooner rather than later right?

PS2? I personally wouldnt waste the time or money. I mean, the ps2 isn't that bad of a console, but its already becoming out of date with 3 new gaming consoles out. You should keep it current so that you dont have to replace it as soon!

The PS2 is fine(I dont even like them). You gotta take into consideration the size of the next gen consoles compared to the PS2...and especially if you have the second generation.

I am curious as well on how these were mounted...

put an xbox instead, atleast then you can store alot of music ont eh 10gig inside. Or better yet, a xbox 360 with the HD-DVD drive HD-DVD in your car, that'd be cool. Upgrade the harddrive and store a crapload of music on it. If i had the $$ thats what id do lol

The HD-DVD drive would only be good is the monitor/screen in the car is HD capable....I have yet to see a flip out monitor that is HD, so that would be basically useless......

ive never done it, but my ideal setup for this would be to fiberglass a face to your glove box that had only the opening for the ps2.. this would also hold the console in place. mind you if its a slim console thats top loading, this wont work. if it is top loading (and you arent too attatched to your passenger airbag) you could always fit it into the airbag compartment, that would be kinda neat i think.

Watch out on the slimline PS2s they are not meant to be moved AT ALL while spinning.. i barely bumped mine and wrecked a disc

Well...I was looking for pics...

I have the slim PS2 so I can't fiberglass it in the glove box not to mention I'd like to have this done by tomorrow!

I'll figure something out I guess...

Do we have any pics of installing this system?
Where are you getting your screen? Pop-out from your Player?
