RATTLE RATTLE RATTLE

So I've upgraded to some Alpine SLX-177Rs and they're running on 81W RMS. The problem now is that I have rattles coming out my ass.

I've tried:

Matting both the door panel and door
Placing felt between the door lock button and the panel (this was giving me a lot of trouble, but I think I got it)
Folding felt tightly around the lock linkages and stapling it. (no dice, linkage still rattles)
Putting silicone tubing around the metal linkages (nope, still)
Matting the back of the window tracks (helped a bit)
Squeezing felt between door lock actuator and metal door panel (not sure)
Screwed ALL screws in super tight, replaced all clips.
Matted the back of the fuse panel covers (the big one, and the little door) and put foam in behind it, under wires and such.
Made sure there were no loose pieces rattling around the bottom of the door or panel

It's a fiberglassed door pod. The top of the door is stock, the bottom half is fiberglass and the stock plastic, if that makes a difference. The rattles aren't coming from the 'glass/plastic connection, so I don't think that's it.

Anyone have any suggestions as to where I can play around to stop rattles.

Would putting foam tape behind the speaker reduce the amount of vibration that gets transferred to the door panel? I'd just try, except my speakers are nearly impossible to take out.

im there with you, although i checked out SI about how the panels and such are installed... heres some things to check out on the doors:

the linkage at the latch ass'y and rods, i put some thick grease in there to take out some slack
the door panel top near the back of the door isnt sitting right, also the foam thing sqeaks?
window crank?
i siliconed the inside door panel at ALL the seams made the door not click/rattle/squeak and more solid
the door handle (inside) bezel thats all you can do with the felt
window track, doesnt actually bolt to anything, just sits in with the weather stripping from the inside piece

Ok, well. I haven't siliconed the door panel, I suppose I can try that when I get time. I don't have window cranks, so that's moot for me.

That door handle part; which I'm assuming is the plastic 'good looking' piece that remains when the panel is removed, is one of my main problems now. Turns out I was only get 50W rms, I need a better 'scope to get more than that, so most of my rattles are gone.

Other main problem is my power door lock switch, those things vibe like crazy under 70-90hz tones. I'm gonna pack more felt inside them or, if worse comes to worse relocate them and just glass the whole damn door.

Thx Bray, I'll see what I can pull off.

not too sure how the locks are in the bezel there...guessing just snaps in hte hole? try masking tape to tighten up the fit, then hot glue the edges of the handle cover around the part that meets the door panel and just smooth it out, makes sort of a insulator
