i just recently installed two new eclipse speakers in the front and two new polk audios. Now since i installed them, i decided, why not to add another amp. So what i did is exactly what i said. added another amp. all i have right now is just my one amp to my speakers hooked up. and i went to turn on my car today. turned on fine, then i noticed that when i turn the song on the cdplayer or go to a station with only static, theres a non stop clicking noise in my front speakers. I tried changing the RC cables, and then noticed that it was coming fromt he back. i dont know if its the amp or if theres someething i can do to fix it. My power is ran on the left side, my RC cables on the right, and the two front speaker wires are on the left side of the center console.
UPDATE:
i have noticed that also, i am having that annoying acceleration noise as well when my car is turn on. when my car is off, its only that clicking noise. but when it is turn on, at times i have the clicking noise, but i more so have the whining noise.
would a ground loop isolator solve all this, or just the whinning noise, or is there anything else i can do to get this to work out and sound good.
Yea, I've got a similar problem that I noticed when I hooked up my infinity 6.5 coaxials. They're in the rear deck and are being held in by basically dynamat residue and a screw each (will fix that later), but when I was testing my phase on the speakers, I noticed that with only one wire hooked up to the speakers it made a clicking noise eventhough it only had one wire hooked up and the other was in free space. I'm wondering if one of the contacts is touching the basked of the speaker when I bent them inward and is thus making contact to the chasis of the car? so you might want to double check your wiring and wiring behind the speaker. Aside from that I have the alt whine too and it's annoying as hell. The thing is, my power lines are completely isolated from my audio signal lines, infact they are on eachother's opposite side of the car. So there is no contact with the positive lead, and since the whole car is grounded, it might be that which is causing the whine. Sounds like a ground loop isolator might be on the shopping list for both of us. Unless someone else has some more ideas. I know I'm fresh out.
to be honest, that ground loop isolator, i bought 2. they dont work. well. shouldi add it worked for my rear speakers, but it lower my sound quality and everything. they didnt even do anything to the front ones. but i guess its just maybe my car?
