alternator to battery positive wire on the BIG 3 Question

if my stock alternator to battery positive wire runs threw the stock fuse panel, does that mean I do not need to add a inline fuse when I do the BIG 3?

no you still do. unless you want to run the risk of catching your car on fire.

run an inline fuse in the wiring, i used a 150AMP ANL fuse (4.ga wire) and its been working fine.

I havent ran a fuse on my big 3 alt wire ever.

As I secure the wire out of the way and prevent it from becoming damaged in any way possible.

The fuse is to protect the wire from becoming damaged and creating a short and starting a fire, but if you keep it away from the header, and or other moving parts, you should be safe.

Im going to fuse it to be safe, also one more question, if my altornator power wire goes to my starter or to my fuse box before it goes to the positive on the battery do i have to replace those wires too? or do i just go from the altornator to the battery and not worry about the outher stuff? or should i go from the altornator and to all that outher stuff then to the positive terminal on the battery with the new wires? which way is best?

we all try our best to prevent our amp wires from being in harms way also, doesn't mean you shouldn't fuse it. Accidents do happen.

Any hot wire coming off the battery, should be fused.

I tied mine up directly to the "STOCK WIRE" coming from the alternator and DID NOT USE A FUSE. The factory wire doesn't have one either. If you get hit bad enough in a wreck and you blow the "NEW FUSE" what about the stock wire that everyone leaves there?

your right, the factory wire doesn't have a conventional fuse in it. There is a small section that has a smaller gauge wire, that will break if a short were to happen. I think they call that a fusible link?

yep, absolutly correct. i was wondering about putting a fuse in my alt to batt. big 3 wire as well, looks like its going to happen now.

Is doing the BIG 3 the same as Hypergrounding or is Hypergrounding something else?

its basically the same thing, just with the hypergrounding, your grounding more items.
