I was wondering do the 2004 Cavaliers have an acc switch?
uhh not sure im understanding, but if your reffereing to ACC as in the ignition switch where electrical devices are on but the cars not running. then yes the 2004 cavaliers have that..along with every other car.
Yes that is what I am talking about. So I was wondering why after the head unit instulation I got at Circuit City why it no longer works. I have the special T-Harness and everything.
you mean the harness that keeps your door chimes? any way what happened was they tapped in to the wrong wire from the ignition. Go back and tell them to tap into the acc wire on the ignition harness or a fuse even...
Ok thanks do you no what color the acc wire is? I might just do it myself I usualy do it all my self anyways but the instalation was free because I bought the head unit there.
yea you can use brown or orange, test em to see which one is the key position you want. Then hook it up to the red wire behind the radio...done
Ok thanks. You know they screwed the whole thing up because the chimes dont work either.But they like many others also said my air bags wouldint work to. You would think if they thought that were actually so they would check to make sure they installed it correctly.

Anyway thats bs and if they cant even make the chimes work then they suck! is there another CC in your area? if its anything like bestbuy you can take it to any CC and they should fix it for free....workmanship warranty! find out...if anything threaten to complain to managers or corporate even! LOL
Well I went ahead and did it myself today and used the brown wire and it worked perfectly. I didint want to have to deal with those bunch of idiots again I should have done it myself to begin with. They had it spliced into the red wire. I am not really worried about my chimes so I could probably go ahead and remove my factory deck right?
is your factory radio in your trunk? either way if you want take it out...just dont leave your lights on or forget your ebrake is up...lol i have forgotten my ebrake was up multiple times unfortunately.... anyways its your call. I would be an ass go back and exchange the harness for a different one just cause...LOL
i know if you look, there is another device for the door chimes. Its an Addition to the harness, i saw it at Walmart. Might go buy it and test it?? I'll let you guys know.
