i have a chance to get a great deal on 4 mtx 15 in 7500s single voice. i have a single 3500 watt amp that can handle the one ohm load. my question is, will my amp be put on too much strain if i wire all four into a single ohm load.
if they have single 4 ohm voice coils and you wire 4 to it, you can present a 1 ohm load. if the amp is stable down to 1 ohm,, you are fine. i dont fully understand the question here.
On the other hand....you have other fingers.

I don't know if you get the idea of ohm and load. Basically the ohm is the strain that your subs are putting on the amp, you can have a million subs hooked up, as long as their total ohm load is what the amp can handle, if you want 1 ohm, then as JLAudioCavalier said wire it up to a final of 1 ohm and you'll be fine. Just wire them all in parallel...I think. Double check that, but I think I'm right.
It really depends on the quality of the amp.
The only 3500w RMS amp I know of is made by Soundstream. And the PCA3500d has proven itself to have close to a 100% defective rate when wired to a 1 ohm load. Why, I don't know.
Regardless of what amp you have, make sure your electrical is sufficient to feed it. Are you planning on going with a wall?

no, its a half wall. it will be flush with the back windows. also the amp is 1700 watts rms at 1ohm not 3500rms. sorry i should have made that clearer
