I just bought a pair of JL audio 12" subs and an amp off my friend, but one of the subs has a small tear in the foam surround. it only cost me 20$ for the whole package so im not that upset, but is there a way i can fix the tear without having to replace the surround or buy a whole new speaker?

Some silicone sealant should do it. Just a little bit
I used JB Weld on my type-r subs and it holds up nice
clear nail polish worked well on my friends sub. It's still holding after 3 years.
