my mother is here visiting, and there is a bit of a problem with the factory stereo. normally, it stays on after shutting off the car until the door is opened. however, i think perhaps the switch that controls the domelight/cd player is stuck in. is there an easy way to bypass this auto-shutoff feature or would it be better to try to replace the switch? and so, how would one go about replacing it?

yea just turn on the dome light. Or mess with the switch by the door, Or get an aftermarket HU =)

i've been having an issue with that too lately, the switch is just worn or has water inside it, open the door, still playing but after you hit it a few times (the switch) it goes off.
