I've had experience with the sony, and the GT500 could probably be found A LOT cheaper then 199. It's a 2006 model, so most places like circuit and best buy are marking these to go.. I think we had one at like $129 a week ago. It's a pretty good unit, 3 preouts, easy to read display.
I havn't had experience w/ clarion to comment on it...

yea if your gonna get one of those two get the sony....4 volt preout and 24 wats per speaker aint bad. But dont get it from that site you can get it cheaper....2006 model ^^^^
