OK I have a sealed box now and I like the looks of the bandpass styles. My question is what would a bandpass box sound like in a cav? I ask because I hear that the best sound for ported boxes is to face them forward and to face sealed boxes backwards. I know that a sealed bandpass one would be redundant so I ask all of your opinions.

If it's pre-fab throw it as hard and as far as you can, put lighter fluid on it and light that popsickle stand. A pre-fab sound like slapping a dead hooker with aids with a pinata filled with kielbasa.
Aight I was checkin the stats on my subs and they say that the maximum cubic feet for a sealed box is 2. is that doubled if you're using 2 in one box? also what would a bandpass sound like facing backwards in my car?

Don't go with a pre-fab bandpass box. Bare minimum go with a pre-fab sealed and fire it towards your trunk.

Theres not really enough air space in a cavi for a decent sized bandpass box...And yes bandpass boxes have to be pretty big in order to have the right sound come out of them. i would suggest looking back in the manual of your subs and find the specs for a ported box. Then build it. NEVER buy prefabed boxes because there not designed specificly for a particular sub.
but as for my earlier question, the book with my subs says max. of 2 cu. ft. for sealed boxes. now can I just double that since I have 2 subs? Or do I just make 2 seperate chambers?

I always use separate chambers because what if 1 subs stops working on you?? you are left with the wrong specs for one sub if you leave the broken one in place, or you have an empty hole in your box, and 1 working sub which will sound ever worse.
I don't know j-body's yet........but I will!
thats what i figured i guess i'll just build a box that is suited to my particular subs.
