im wondering if anyone has the directions to install this. i cant seem to find mine. i already have it installed. a wire came unhooked from the icm harness and from the hood pin. i had been doing some work on my car and they come unhooked. or if someone can tell me which wire to hook up where. that would be awesome. its 2 wires twisted together. one is gray and the other is purple w/ a white stripe. right where you hook up the wire to the icm harness it has an bare wire. its the purple one. so im thinking that the purple goes there. but the problem is the set a wires right by the harness is split. like what i mean is both the wires are twisted together. not like connected. but just ran together. they both go to the hood pin. the purple wire is split right where you would connect it to icm harness. so im not sure what end to connect to the icm harness. and i think the gray wire hooks up to the hood pin. maybe im wrong. also will my car not start if its disconnected. cause right now my car wont start. also is there any way if like a fuse blew for the remote start will that stop my car from starting? im gonna have a pic in my profile so you will have a better idea of what im saying.
purple with white should be the Tach wire.
well why would you hook the remote start up to the tach? i know it shuts off when it gets to a certain temp. is that why you tap into the tach?
Purple white is tach, which is a safety feature. Grey is hood pin, which we do not hook up on remote starts because they are more trouble down the road than anything else.

Purple white tells the car when you're starting if the car started or not. Some systems have a tach wire, some you wire it into the alternator, some you hook it into a main power lead.
The Tach wire on a remote starter is so the Remote Start can tell when the car is running so it will NOT over crank the starter.
