Post up some of your creative theft prevention ideas, in regard to car audio at least.
I was thinking, since I have door pods now, and the speakers aren't covered by the door panels (8 screws and the speakers are yours

) that I would screw the speakers to the door from the INSIDE
Then I could put grills over the speakers so no one would stab themselves with the exposed screw tips, and so a thief wouldn't stab my speakers out of anger.
I could probably go one step further and attach the door panel with some absurd screw; like torx or those crazy triangles.
Post your ideas.
park in a garage, with the pager alarm on, and an extra siren in the interior, pretty much does it for me. But by far the best thing to do is get a pager alarm
Not saying that i go around stealing peoples @!#$, But if i did and you screwed the speakers in from the back i old just take something and stab them.
But With my trunk setup it would take someone a great while to steal any of my stuff, I have 3 amps mounted in the spair tire well with a abosoulty huge box sitting on top. 6.2cubes
. And i had to cut to get it in, and if somebody was in a hurry they could not get anything. Also the subs are firing up, theres only about 3" space above them not enough to take the screws out. But i also have special head screws.
And BTW it would take me about 7 seconds to run outside with my gun

When the 2-way pager goes off.
I lost 5 systems over the years... the only thing that has worked for me, has been a stock system. Mind you.. it's the stock Monsoon system from a Sunfire GT.. way better than what MY car came with stock... but still stock
I'm going to try the Bose system from the Park Ave that I pulled the motor from... see how much better a Park Avenue stock system can be..

Reading is fundamental
While I agree that a pager is awesome, I just don't have the Bordens to throw around for that, yet.
Garage is hardly an option, it may be next year, but even then the garage is too small to open the door enough to get out :S
I once installed 6 - 150db sirens inside a car. Poor kid... his ears were bleeding after breaking into it.
