i was wondering where the best place to ground my amp might be.
A clean piece of metal, preferably bolted or screwed in place. Some use something in the trunk, some use the seat belt bolt, just make sure it's clean.
Drill a hole on the rear deck lid inside the trunk, and sand the paint of, bolt on..
I took out my rear seat(bottom piece) when running the wires, and in the middle of floor in the back sanded a very little piece and screwed the ground wire to the floor.
Works MINT!
Shorter the ground the better,ur ground should never be more than a foot, scrap away the paint,be on nice shiny bare metal and set the ground.......
If you mount the amp to to the back of your back seats you can use the seat belt mounting bolt.
ok i think my car is just weird i have tried everything and it will not ground out any where. i have no clue
You're not doing something right then.

It's probably not your ground then... How did you test to see if it wasn't grounding? Touch your 12V+ with your ground wire real quick, if it doesn't spark, check your fuse. If it does spark and your amp still doesn't work, you don't have something hooked up right or you have a bad amp. I would first check your fuse and then go from there.
