hey guys i have a quick question i know someone can answer. where is the best place to splice a connection for interior neons? i was thinking about my 12V but i dont know how i would get the wires out of my dash into my center console for the switch... so which wire would be the 12V wire coming through the firewall? im gonna take a stab in the dark and say its the same color as the one that leads into the outlet, but where would it be in the bundles of wires? anybody have a picture? i looked through my schematic from haynes and they had nothing that i could read easily. just black and white pictures showing different circuits but not a realtime picture. im going to be using a wire-tap so im not actually disconnecting the wire im just putting a copper tipped "splicer" into the wire

Use the orange wire in the steering column - it's the accessory wire.
do i have to take apart the steering wheel for this or just pull back the wire cover underneath? i kinda of know what im looking for but i seriously dont want to screw up anything electrical... as expected. so im not touching this until i know exactly what im doing. im going to be looking for a picture of it to get an idea, but if anybody has a pic laying around that could be helpful, please dont be shy i know im a noob. lol
There's three torx screws that hold the bottom piece on - i think they're either t-15 or t-20. The wires will show right up. It'll be lower right steering column, in a bundle of bigger gauge wires. You can't miss it. If you do, then take it to a professional.

thanks for the pic. i got them to work today... they're alright... haha i like them. im going to be wiring up a bunch more in the near future. im putting some in the vents, and another set UNDER the seats. then im goin outside and puttin whites all the way around, and some in the grill.
i have myne running from the fuse box on the side. just use a multimeter and find a switched 12v.
