I installed an aftermarket cd player on my 1997 cavalier and my taillights and dash light wont turn off. the only way to turn it off is to pull out the fuse. (ext lamp i think). Does anyone know whats wrong with my car?
Do you have constant power going to the illumination/dimmer wires? Try disconnecting the harness that you just put in and see if it goes away.
how can i check if there's constant power going to the illumination/dimmer wires? do u mean, the brown wire is touching another wire somewhere?! i already pulled out the harness in the radio. and its still on.
Something's touching something it shouldn't.
bump, anyone else know what can cause the problem?
You could have a bad headlight switch, seems like it's staying on constantly.
