subwoofer cutout at low RPM

i have a 1997 sunfire gt and when i have my subs turned up at a low RPM they have a tendincey to cut out...i just replaced the alternator like 3 weeks ago...and battery...does anyone else have this problem or had?..and if so what did u do to fix it?...thanks for you time any and all comments will be greatly apprciated!

Your subwoofers, or your amplifier is cutting off??

Sounds to me like a voltage problem. Use a dmm to test the votlage at the amp during play.

check and see if your amp is going into protection. some amps have a thermal and other types of protection which is usually indicated by an LED or the power LED turning a different colour than normal.

mine use to do the same thing and i couldnt figure it out. i had good voltage to it. i thought it was the sub and amp combo but then it got stolen before i could figure it out. haha
