Im looking to amp my front speakers and was wondering if anyone has done the same with a amp under the seat. Brand or cost dosent really matter just looking for something thats good quality and wont overheat and that will fit under one of the front seats
Also if theres a better place to mount one let me know

all help is appreciated
first off any amp you buy will heat up a lot faster under the seat . for u see they are air cooled and are not getting enough air curculation around it. if it was mounted vertical cooling is better. basically if ur putting under the seat etheir buy a computer fan and have it cool the amp or get an lighting audio amp certain models have a option to remove the emblem in the middle and replace it with a cooling fan that goes in place of the emblem this will improve the time the amp will stay on cause it is cooler. and also kennwood has a model out my friend has his under a plexi glass system setup and few holes int but the fan circulates the air fine. hope this help post how u make out.
I have an amp under my front pass seat (98 cav), with no fan or anything, and it's done just fine (even through a 12 hour drive in July... I did have the AC on for that trip though). My amp is only ~200 watts (50x4), if you have a more powerful amp it might give problems.
i would do a search to find an amp that have built in fans or have a tendancy to not overheat when in confined spaces.
