Just wondering the quality for Sony audio cause for home electronics I think they are crap.

Asking because there is a liquidator near me selling a cd player cheap and I wanna change it up for mine cause the knobs are fading on the factory deck.
Might also change for Sony speakers.

Sony's bottom of the barrel. Steer clear. Someone will try come on here and say "it's good for the money", but don't listen to em.

Sony and quality now-adays shouldn't be used in the same sentence.

headunits is as far as id ever go, i mean have gone, and i havent been dissapointed yet (crosses fingers) but im also no SPL buff i just like clean sound, and that comes from my amps and speakers and i just have my ipod plugged into the back of it so it doesnt matter how well it plays cds.. lol

Well i had a sony unit and upgrading to my premier head unit was giant leap, so much more depth to the music.. yes your speakers will sound only as good as your amps, yet upgrading a deck makes all the difference in sound quality. I mean who would spend 1k on a Mcintosh deck if the deck doesn't reproduce the sound on a cd any better then a sony deck?....
