Odometer Does Not Light Up
Thursday, February 08, 2007 8:12 PM
I searched and read in the library. but i bought a sunfire cluster off of ebay to replace my cavy one. the odometer doesnt light up. i smacked it and all that good stuff. but it says its an LED Soldered into the board. and if you try to take it apart you can break the needles. it lights up with my cavalier one because i switched them back and forth. so now my question is, what are my only options? to buy another? or can it be fixed to show. i dont care if it shows anyway since mileage is stored in the BCM, and ill chance my oil once a month but it would be nice if it did work.

Thanks ahead of time.

you can also see the numbers by shining a light on it...

Not to sound like a dick at all... Are you for real?(that could be taken in a bad way on the net.) but seriously, that will show the mileage? i was going to resort to just changing my oil once a month but if it shows like that, then im ok with that till i find a fix too. granted car wont be back out til spring but still.

For reals man, you can see it if you shine a flashlight on it. It just shuts off the "backlight" i guess... but the miles are still readable.
