This might sound odd, but has anybody ever had an issue with aftermarket gauges not working when it's really cold outside? Namely voltmeters. Since it's been in the single digits lately, I've noticed that my voltmeter doesn't work for like a good five minutes before I finally get a reading. It's getting power, but it'll sit at 8v and the backlight doesn't work, then after a few minutes it reads the normal 15v I usually get and the light comes on. My other gauges work fine so is this normal or do I have a problem?
It wouldn't surprise me. The rotary knob on my Pioneer HU started not working when real cold weather hit. No loose wires and it lasted for a couple weeks. Works fine now so I'm kinda stumped on what happened.
Well yeah my amp's remote gain won't hardly budge either until it warms up inside the car, it was just weird that the gauges were acting funky.
