Quarter Panel speakers Question...
Sunday, February 04, 2007 12:58 AM
Hi guys,

Im not sure if anyone has done this or not.... I've searched and came up with nothing... Maybe I missed it? I dont know.. but has anyone tried installing maybe 5.5" or 6.5" speakers in the quarter panel by the arm rest? Is there enough space between the inside paneling and outside panels? I would take it apart and see for myself but Im here already and figured i'd pop the question....

Let me know... and thanks

Alphasonik 3 way components. Yes they fit, and if you don't do it right, it'll totally kill your sound stage.

looking good... Im not looking for a crazy sound system that will blow my ears away. Im already deaf but I enjoy the rhytem of BASS on some music and I was thinking about having a 6 speakers system all around and get 6 channel amp to go with it. I know a subwoofer is the easiest and fastest way to go but I want plenty of space in my car since my cav will be my daily driver....

So, can u show me how u did the rears? so it doesnt kill the sound stage?

I did a lot of measuring, a lot of moving, and a lot of messing around so there wasn't any cancellation, and to make sure it didn't sound like ass. I got real lucky on mine, most in the side there kill the sound stage. I would suggest getting a few sets of components for up front and rock them out.

Sounds like its not worth my trouble of doing this since Im deaf and having a "PERFECT" sound system. Maybe a simple sub with amp will do just fine.

sub with amp and rear speakrs are two completly diffrent things go for a small sub so at least your getting all of the musical frequencies. you cant have a perfect sound system if your not even hearing all of the music.
