I have the metra dash kit to install my headunit in my cav nice a flush, well I have been using the radio's cage and trim ring. Well I looked on their site and seen that they had a kit that you can just screw the headunit to the kit and use their plastic trim ring that looks much cleaner. Come to find out I looked and I have the same kit.... So I got the instruction booklet out and looked and low and behold that was exactly the kit they they had shown on their site. I today i pulled out my headunit and am tryin to get the bend in the pocket straight and have it set up this way and I must say it looks much better! I'll post a pic later on .

I can make it look like this minus the deodorant trying to get rid of the bend that you see in the 2nd pic

instead of lookin like this

I have the same head unit, but my Metra kit didn't have a pocket. My head unit doesn't make the bottom bend out though. Maybe you have a wrong tab pushed down, which is pushing the bottom down instead of holding the cage in place.
that might have been, I discovered that i dont even need the cage now, It's got pieces that I attach to it that screw into the side of the headunit instead.

I put switches there to hold my sag up!!
heat up the plastic, then stick the deoderant in it, while the plastic is still hot
I used a hair dryer to heat it up then stuck it in, didnt help, stuck it in steeming hot water and then stuck it in, still went back.

i bought the cheap scosche kit at walmart and had no problems with sagging.
I have the metra kit in mine and it didn't do that, hmmm wierd but that does look good.
I think it might have been caused by the radio sitting so tight in there without much space that it pushed it a lil bit making it do that.

I had that same kit and I didn't like the way it looked. I eventually found another one and it almost looks stock cause it vehicle specific. And it's built so you don't need to have a trim around the face plate. Not to mention its got a MUCH deeper pocket.
put a piece of double sided tape and tape it to the bottom of the radio.
I am gonna have to get a new one I cracked it tryin to get it straight. oh well.
