getting ready to start my winter projects one is some gauges...looking for some help hooking up the sending unit for my oil pressure gauge...got an ecotec from an 03 in my car someone told me its kind of a pain to hook up the sending unit but the guy wouldn't go into detail...can anyone elaborate on this for me if its true...thanks

There are threaded plugs in the block that are 1.75" and your sender unit should have a 1/8" threading, so Just buy the fitting, (which you wil probably only be able to get from autometer (2278)) thread it, be sure to use teflon tape but not too much because being threaded into the block is the ground of the unit!.
I've read you can also tap in somewhere below the oil filter housing.
Anyway your oil Psi will be high at startup and then be somewhere between 20-40 while driving.

yeah I tapped into my motor on the driver side of the head, removed a plug and plugged in my line and ran to my sending unit below my fuse block on the fender well. It runs at 100 psi for a lil bit than it goes down gradually as it warms up.I recommend using a pre-made AN line from Summit or another dealer because I bought a cut it yourself line and fittings and it blew apart and blew my motor.
