ive been trying to figure out if it would work. i dont wanna have to remove the entire front facing on my gf's cavy just to find out it wont work. also i do know it will lock but a pontiac dealership said it wouldnt work tounlock it aswell? my gf just has a stock radio in her car.
it will work, you will have to have a GM dealer reflash the car to accept the cd player. The 00+ J-Body radios have the VIN to the car as their security code, so it just has to be reset at a dealer.
I sold my LS Sport cd player/tape to a guy with a base model and he had to get his car reflashed. I think it was $60 or so.
cool do i have to bring the vin #(from the car i got it outta of?) with me when i goto a gm dealership? or just pull in with the deck already installed?
just take the car in the dealer needs to do a VIN relearn
old VIN is not needed
